A rotating mechanism, which is applied to an unmanned aerial vehicle, the unmanned aerial vehicle comprising a center body as well as a carrier and a tripod that are disposed below the center body, wherein the carrier is used for supporting the payload; the rotating mechanism comprises: a rotating portion and a driving portion;the rotating portion is used to connect to the tripod; the driving portion is used to drive the rotating portion to rotate when the carrier rotates.The rotating mechanism may enable the tripod of the unmanned aerial vehicle to followingly rotate relative to the carrier mounted on the drone, no rigid connection being present between the tripod of the drone and the carrier, and therefore the modality of the carrier may be unaffected, which is beneficial to the independent operation of the carrier.
