The invention relates to a basket suitable for containing clothes pegs, which can be worn around the waist or neck and which is designed to be fastened around the waist or hung from the neck to lie at the stomach using a conventional fitting or opening system. The invention consists of a rigid bag having an approximately rectangular horizontal section, provided with a raised wall to prevent the pegs from falling out on the side opposite that in contact with the stomach or chest, and joined at the vertical sides thereof to the ends of a strap that can rotate relative to the basket, as well as optionally including, at the upper end thereof, some form of velcro, hook-and-eye or magnetic quick-fastening system, forming a lid for closing the assembly, which is rotated and secured on the side of the basket that is in contact with the body.
