The present invention relates to a dual-functional peptide having an ability to promote differentiation from stem cells to chondrocytes and an ability to reduce inflammation, and a use thereof. A peptide according to the present invention has advantages of being useful for preventing or treating arthritis accompanied by inflammation and damage of cartilage tissue because of being excellent in an effect of reducing inflammation and in an ability to promote differentiation from stem cells to chondrocytes, being easily applicable to various surgical regeneration treatments including orthopedics, and shortening a treatment period.
