Provided are a flame-retardant resin composition, a flame-retardant heat shrink tube formed using said flame-retardant resin composition, and a flame-retardant insulated electrical wire having an insulation layer formed using said flame-retardant resin composition. The flame-retardant resin composition contains polyethylene, a resin component A comprising an ethylene ethyl acrylate copolymer and an acid-modified polyethylene, a metal hydroxide, and a silicone. The resin component A has a polyethylene content of 25%–70% by mass, an ethylene ethyl acrylate copolymer content of 25%–70% by mass, and an acid-modified polyethylene content of 5%–35% by mass. The metal hydroxide content is 100–200 parts by mass and the silicone content is 1–8 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass resin component A.
