Provided is a pressed powder core 1 that has excellent mechanical properties and has magnetic properties which do not tend to change even when used under a high temperature environment, the pressed powder core 1 comprising a molded body 1B which includes a soft magnetic powder MM and an exterior coat 3 of the molded body 1B, wherein the exterior coat 3 includes an impregnated coating layer 4 and a powder coating film 5, and the impregnated coating layer 4 preferably comprises a thermoplastic resin including at least one of polyethersulfone, thermoplastic polyimide, and thermoplastic polyamide imide.
