The invention relates to a method for an automated starting up of a means of transport (80) at a light signal system (70) comprising the following steps: capturing an image of the light signal system (70) by means of a first optical sensor of the means of transport (80); determining a signalling status of the light signal system (70) based on the captured image; executing an automated starting-up process of the means of transport (80) according to a signalling status representing and/or indicating a clearance to travel; determining a user action of a driver of the means of transport (80) for checking the plausibility of the starting-up process; and depending on a result of the plausibility check, automatically starting or ending the starting-up process.
