摘要

The present invention addresses the problem of providing: an ultraviolet irradiation method for photopheresis which can induce immune tolerance, with high probability, to a cell to be treated contained in a liquid sample for photopheresis by inducing apoptosis in the cell or by damaging the cell even though no complicated processes such as centrifugal separation are required; a micro device to be used for the ultraviolet irradiation method; and an ultraviolet irradiation device for photopheresis that includes the micro device. This ultraviolet irradiation method includes: a step of introducing a liquid sample for photopheresis into a flow channel of a wall part of the micro device for photopheresis; and a step of irradiating the liquid sample for photopheresis with ultraviolet radiation through the wall part. The length of the flow channel in an irradiation direction of the ultraviolet radiation is 70 to 500 μm.
