The embodiments of the present application may be applied to the technical field of information processing, and disclosed thereby are an instant positioning and map construction method, a computer device and a storage medium, the instant positioning and map construction method according to the embodiments comprising: acquiring edge information of current frame images captured by an image capturing device, and dividing the edge information into structural features of a plurality of first parts, wherein each first part may correspond to a partial structure of an object in the current frame images or correspond to at least one object; acquiring a correspondence between each first part in the current frame images and each second part in reference frame images by matching the structural features of the first parts with the structural features of the second parts in the reference frame images; and finally, carrying out instant positioning of the image capturing device according to the correspondence.
