The invention relates to a guide element, more particularly an ISOFIX guide element, comprising a bottom portion (22), a rear side portion (24), two side portions (26) connected to the bottom, an insertion opening (28) delimited by respective inner sides (50, 52) of the bottom portion (22) and of the two side portions (26), and a bow opening (30) which is formed between the bottom portion (22) and the rear side portion (24) and has slots (32) formed in the side portions (26), such that a bow-shaped fastening element (34, 62) can be received in the slots (32) and that the fastening element (34, 62) is accessible through the insertion opening (28). According to the invention, at least one fastening element (42) protruding from the bottom portion (22) is arranged on an outer side (40) of the bottom portion (22), the fastening element (42) having at least one slot-shaped fastening opening (44) which can be connected to a strap (46) of a seat cushion (12) or a seat cover of a vehicle seat (10).
