The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling of a lower-limb rehabilitation robot which can quantitatively measure the patient′s condition, which has been measured by the therapist′s eyes or senses; can continuously perform exercise therapy of the patient without being tired; can set the degree of exercise more accurately in accordance with the patient′s height, weight, and condition, so that the treatment on the patient can be actively performed; can provide convenience from the user′s point of view by utilizing various sensors, motors, and monitoring devices for detecting walking intentions for rehabilitation training of the user; and can monitor the physical condition to allow the user to easily rehabilitate according to his or her detecting walking intentions by configuring the apparatus to be suitable for use of sensor signals. The apparatus for controlling of a lower-limb rehabilitation robot according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a frame, a foot plate, a saddle chair, a chest support, and a monitoring device.
