In the present invention, a system and a method for supplying nitrogen gas are provided. The ambient air is compressed and stored in a storage container, whereupon the nitrogen is separated from the compressed air in the nitrogen separation unit. The separated nitrogen is stored under pressure in a nitrogen storage tank and discharged through a pressure control valve. Whereas conventional compressed nitrogen tanks have safety or space problems, the system is suitable for small spaces and is useful as a nitrogen source. Also provided is a system for preparing a nitrogen-infused beverage.
