The present invention relates to a lattice structure in a cooling pathway by additive manufacturing, to provide a hot gas path (HGP) component including a cooling pathway having a lattice structure formed therein. According to the present invention, the HGP component (52, 100) of an industrial machine comprises a cooling path (170, 200) having a lattice structure (220) formed therein. The component and the lattice structure (220) are formed by additive manufacturing. The component comprises: an outer surface (180) exposed to a high temperature working fluid; a thermal barrier coating (TBC) (102) formed on the outer surface (180); an internal cooling circuit (86, 160); and the cooling pathway (170, 200) communicating with the inner cooling circuit (86, 160) and extended toward the outer surface (180). The lattice structure (200) supports the TBC (102) formed on the cooling pathway (170, 200) and reacts with a spool (222) on the TBC (102) through the cooling pathway (170, 200) to allow refrigerant (88, 190) to pass through and flow from the internal cooling circuit (86, 160).
