A composition of the present invention can inhibit differentiation of myofibers and can realize a muscle consumption model in vitro, and can be used for screening for a therapeutic agent for muscle consumption. In addition, it was confirmed that the above-described composition can up-regulate or down-regulate genes of TNF-α, WNT signaling system, which are known to be involved in muscle formation and regeneration, muscle apoptosis and regression in cells with differentiation inhibition. Therefore, a candidate substance which regulates the signaling system can be utilized in development of the therapeutic agent for the muscle consumption.
