The present invention provides a cosmetic composition comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of green tea saponin and green tea polyphenol as an active ingredient. The cosmetic composition of the present invention is excellent in skin safety, has excellent effect of improving the biological mechanism in skin, called gene activation, and can be used as an anti-aging cosmetic composition.
