The present invention relates to an iodine adsorbent containing bismuth graphene oxide capable of efficiently removing iodine and a fixed bed column or a molded article containing the same. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing bismuth graphene oxide by reacting bismuth with a graphene oxide and a use of bismuth graphene oxide using the bismuth graphene oxide as an iodine adsorbent.
