A method for determining priorities within an accelerated processing device is provided. The accelerated processing device includes a computational pipeline queue that is processed according to a predetermined criterion. The queue is selected based on the priority property and the selected queue is processed until a time quantum elapses or until a queue with a higher priority becomes available for processing.
