The present invention relates to a closest approach detection radio frequency proximity fuze and a detonating method thereof, wherein the fuze comprises: an RF transmitter-receiver generating and transmitting an RF signal, and receiving a signal reflected in a target object; an antenna emitting the RF signal; a shock sensor generating a signal by a shock with the target object; a signal processing device calculating a distance with the target object and a collision prediction time with the signal received through the RF transmitter-receiver; and a detonating device detonating by receiving an output signal. Moreover, when a signal obtained from the RF transmitter-receiver does not satisfy an effective standard, a previous signal is applied to calculate and transmit the output signal.
