IoT METHOD FOR ONBOARDING IOT DEVICES IN CLOUD SERVICES AND APPARATUS USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a method for onboarding an IoT device in a cloud service, and to a device using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the IoT device onboarding method comprises: a step of detecting an IoT device; a step of transmitting a network identifier and a network password of a gateway to the IoT device; a step of receiving a connection request for a network having the network identifier from the IoT device; a step of receiving an input network password from the IoT device; a step of determining whether the network password is the same as the input network password or not; a step of connecting the IoT device to be wirelessly communicated when the network password is the same as the input network password; and a step of allocating an IP to the IoT device. Therefore, the method for onboarding an IoT device in a cloud service can shorten time required for onboarding through an automatic onboarding method without a manual process by a man, and can facilitate efficient use of an IoT device.
