The present invention relates to a memory-efficient virtual e-mail address generating and tracking method to prevent a personal information leakage in an IoT environment which comprises the steps of: (1) receiving a request to generate an encoding key from a user device in a personal information management server; (2) generating the encoding key according to the request of the step (1) in the personal information management server and generating a decoding key for decoding the encoding key; (3) generating, in the user device, a virtual e-mail address encoded for an e-mail address of an address book stored in the user device by using the encoding key generated in the step (2); (4) transmitting the encoding key generated in the step (2) from the personal information management server to the user device and transmitting the decoding key to an e-mail proxy server; (5) tracking a service or an application accessing a virtual e-mail address of a third party by decoding the virtual e-mail address of the third party by using the decoding key in the e-mail proxy server when the e-mail proxy server receives a spam mail via the virtual e-mail address of the third party as the virtual e-mail address generated in the step (3) is leaked; and (6) transmitting a guidance mail including information on the service or the application tracked in the step (5) from the e-mail proxy server to an e-mail of a user.
