The present invention relates to a torque distribution control device of a 4WD vehicle based on a driver shift pattern and a response speed and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a torque distribution control device of a 4WD vehicle based on a driver shift pattern and a response speed, which comprises: a surrounding environment detection unit detecting a surrounding environment of a vehicle to collect surrounding environment information; a driver detection unit detecting operation of a driver to collect driver operation information; a determination unit analyzing a driver shift pattern and a response speed based on the surrounding environment information and the driver operation information, and recommending a shift mode fitted to analyzed data; and a drive unit applying torque to four wheels of the vehicle with a predetermined value in accordance with the control of the determination unit.
