Disclosed in the present invention are a contactless body temperature measuring device for measuring body temperature information using a thermal image sensor, and an operation method thereof. Specifically, the contactless body temperature measuring device according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a thermal image extracting part which receives sensing data related to a measurement object from a thermal image sensor, and extracts a thermal image from the received sensing data; a thermal image binarizing part which binarizes the extracted thermal image on the basis of a temperature measurement reference value; a labeling processing part which processes the labeling of at least one object corresponding to the body temperature measurement reference value in the binarized thermal image; a target object determining part which determines a target object among the at least one labeled object on the basis of an average body temperature of the human body; and a body temperature measuring part which extracts a maximum temperature from the determined target object and measures the extracted maximum temperature as body temperature information of the measurement object.
