In a wireless communication system, user equipment (UE) receives random access channel (RACH) configuration information for a RACH process and transmits a RACH preamble at a RACH resource inside a slot for the RACH proves based on the RACH configuration information. The RACH configuration information can include preamble format information indicating a combination of a first preamble format and a second preamble format. The UE transmits a RACH preamble of the first preamble format at the RACH resource when the RACH resource is not the last RACH resource among RACH resources of the slot in a time domain. The UE transmits a RACH preamble of the second preamble format at the RACH resource when the RACH resource is the last RACH resource among the RACH resources of the slot in the time domain.
