The present invention provides a sliding step device for an electric rail car, using an opening and closing device for a door of an electric rail car. The sliding step device for an electric rail car includes: a roller bundle installed on a horizontally opened and closed type door; and a sliding plate moving forward and backward by corresponding to a movement of the roller bundle. According to the present invention, the sliding step device for an electric rail car can minimize accidents by filling a space between an electric rail car and a platform and enables the elderly and the infirm using a wheelchair to easily get in and off the electric rail car.
