The present invention relates to a stovepipe type furnace, which is a furnace igniting charcoals or firewood so as to provide a heating function or grill meat or fish. The stovepipe type furnace is characterized by comprising: a tubular body formed in a circular or many-sided shape so as to function as a body; a bridge installed at a lower side of the tubular body and allowing a lower plane of the tubular body to be spaced from a floor surface in order to form a ventilating space; an appearing/disappearing tubular body installed at an inner upper side of the tubular body so as to selectively appear or disappear in order to adjust height; and a latching apparatus provided between the inner circumference of the tubular body and the outer circumference of the appearing/disappearing tubular body so as to maintain an appeared/disappeared state of the appearing/disappearing tubular body.
