The present invention relates to a magnesium oxide-based absorbent for collecting carbon dioxide and a method for manufacturing the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to: the magnesium oxide-based absorbent for collecting carbon dioxide, which comprises an eutectic mixture as an enhancer and a magnesium oxide/aluminum oxide complex, thereby having excellent cycle ability; and the method for manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, a problem of an existing magnesium oxide-based absorbent for collecting carbon dioxide, which exhibits excellent carbon dioxide adsorption performance at high temperature but a poor cycle performance, and subsequently, cannot be commercialized or used in the process is overcome. Therefore, it is possible to provide a solid absorbent having remarkably improved cycle characteristics and CO_2 adsorption performance that is not significantly lower than CO_2 adsorption performance of existing technology.
