The present invention relates to a monoclonal antibody for diagnosis of chikungunya virus (CHIKV) infection and a use thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to a monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to surface proteins of CHIKV, a hybridoma that produces the monoclonal antibody, a composition for diagnosing CHIKV disease comprising the monoclonal antibody, and a diagnostic method. The monoclonal antibody according to the present invention specifically binds to the surface proteins of CHIKV, and thus can be useful for diagnosis of diseases caused by CHIKV.
