The purpose of the present invention is to implement a nonwoven fabric base material for molding which prevents laminating factors forming a base material for molding from being separated to be excellent in handling as materials, to provide a molded product which has an excellent elasticity enduring exterior forces such as flying debris or the likes after the base material is re-heated and molded, and to implement an excellent sound absorbing characteristic by inhibiting air permeability inhibition caused by adhering ingredients while maintaining separation resistance performances. The present invention is a nonwoven fabric base material for molding as a predetermined shape by a thermal molding, and comprises at least a two-layered structure of a long fiber nonwoven fabric layer containing polyester resin and a monofilament nonwoven fabric layer containing polyester resin. A flow-solidified undrawn polypropylene layer is placed around a boundary surface between the long fiber nonwoven fabric layer and the monofilament nonwoven fabric layer.
