The present invention relates to a method for determining a regeneration strategy of an exhaust fumes filtering apparatus for a diesel vehicle with an ISG mounted and a method for calculating the volume of materials in exhaust fumes in accordance with the generation control of the exhaust fumes filtering apparatus. The present invention is able to, in a situation where an ISG system is operable, determine whether a diesel particulate filter (DPF) of the diesel vehicle is generated or not by considering the exhaust temperature inside the DPF, external temperature, residual exhaust fumes volume inside the DPF, and DPF generation time for the regeneration strategy of the DPF of the diesel vehicle, and to, when the ISG system is driven while regenerating the DPF of the diesel vehicle, calculate the volume of materials in exhaust fumes inside the DPF, which are generated, while an engine is stopped, to more precisely measure the residual exhaust fumes materials inside the DPF after driving the ISG system, to allow the vehicle to regenerate the DPF without operating the ISG system under a certain condition, to save wasted fuel, to prevent the engine oil volume from increasing due to a post-injection of fuel, and to maintain durability of the DPF.
