The present invention relates to a hybrid vehicle and a path search method thereof and, more specifically, to a hybrid vehicle capable of performing efficiency-based path search in accordance with characteristics of a power train of the hybrid vehicle, and a path search method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the path search method of a hybrid vehicle comprises the following steps: acquiring driving environment information; determining driving load for each of a plurality of sections forming at least one path between a destination and a departure; determining output energy and braking energy for each section based on the determined driving load; determining energy consumption and regenerative energy for each section based on the output and braking energies for each section; adding up the consumption and regenerative energies for each section to determine an energy consumption for each of at least one path; and comparing the energy consumption for at least one determined path to determine an energy minimization path.
