Method of inhibiting quorum sensing in Vibrio using non-lethal heat shock

Disclosed herein are a method of treating Vibrio spp. at a heat shock temperature to control quorum sensing of Vibrio, thereby inhibiting the virulence of Vibrio spp.; and a screening method of a quorum sensing inhibitor using the method. The method according to the present invention can be effectively used for virulence control of Vibrio spp. by inhibiting quorum sensing through thermal shock, thereby reducing toxic factors activated by expression of quorum sensing regulators. The mechanisms identified herein also allow for the screening of quorum sensing inhibitor.
