Method of inhibiting quorum sensing in Vibrio using non-lethal heat shock

Disclosed herein is a method of treating Vibrio bacteria at a thermal shock temperature to control quorum sensing of Vibrio, thereby inhibiting virulence of Vibrio bacteria, and a quorum sensing inhibitor screening method using the method. The method according to the present invention can be effectively used for virulence control of Vibrio bacteria by inhibiting quorum sensing through thermal shock, thereby reducing toxic factors activated by expression of the quorum sensing regulator. The mechanisms identified herein also allow for the screening of quorum sensing inhibitors.
