The present invention relates to a system for predicting demolition wastes of a building using a chi-squared automatic interaction detection (CHAID) algorithm and a method thereof. The system for predicting demolition wastes generated when a building is demolished comprises: a building data inputting unit to which data including characteristics of a building collected in advance is inputted; a data set creating unit generating an input variable and a result variable based on the data inputted to the building data inputting unit, and coupling the generated input variable and result variable to create a data set; and a CHAID algorithm performing unit applying the CHAID algorithm to the data set created at the data set creating unit to calculate a demolition wastes prediction result.
