A zapping advertisement providing method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: detecting, by a broadcast receiving device, a state change condition; transmitting, by the broadcast receiving device, broadcast content information that the broadcast receiving device is currently receiving, to a central server in response to the state change condition; receiving, from the central server, the address of an intermediate management server and zapping advertisement material information indicating zapping advertisement data to be displayed on the broadcast receiving device based on the broadcast content information; if the zapping advertisement data corresponding to the zapping advertisement material information is not stored in advance in the broadcast receiving device, requesting the intermediate management server for the zapping advertisement data corresponding to the zapping advertisement material information including identification information of the broadcast receiving device; receiving, by the broadcast receiving device, the zapping advertisement data as the intermediate management server requests one among multiple distributed servers for the zapping advertisement data based on the identification information of the broadcast receiving device and loads of the multiple distributed servers; and displaying, by the broadcast receiving device, the zapping advertisement data on a second plane that is visually lower than a first plane on which broadcast content is displayed.
