Disclosed are a method for sharing an event of interest occurring in an online game being played on a user terminal with another user terminal, and an online game system therefor. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for sharing an event of interest comprises the operations of: streaming a game screen of the online game being played on a first user terminal to a second user terminal; analyzing an image of a game screen to search for occurrence of an event of interest; notifying the second user terminal when the event of interest occurs; and generating a game video corresponding to a predetermined time before and after a time at which the event of interest occurs and transmitting the same to the second user terminal.
