METHOD FOR DERIVING A FOLLOW-UP ITEMS CONSIDERING FIRMS' EXISTING TECHNOLOGIES

The present invention provides a method for discovering a follow-up item customized for a company which discovers other similar companies possessing technologies similar to a technology area possessed by a reference patent applicant, and recommends technologies preferred by the similar companies as follow-up items of the reference patent applicant. Specifically, the method comprises: a step where a patent applicant excludes patents of large companies, universities, and public research institutes and constructs a patent database; a step of using a patent frequency for an IPC for each patent applicant to calculate and build a preference by IPC from the patent database; a step of setting a reference patent applicant by a user system after constructing the database and using a preference by IPC between the set reference patent applicant and an arbitrary patent applicant to calculate the similarity between the reference patent applicant and the arbitrary patent applicant to extract similar companies; a step of using the similarity between the reference patent applicant and the similar companies and a patent frequency of the similar companies for a specific IPC to calculate a relation index for each IPC; and a step of extracting an IPC with a high relation index and recommending a technology area corresponding to the extracted IPC as a follow-up item.
