The present invention relates to a molecular marker for selecting a watermelon with a high prolycopene content and a use thereof. The present invention has showed that an SNP of CRTISO is specific to the color of flesh of orange-P, and confirmed that a CAPS marker derived from the SNP may be effective in selecting a watermelon having a high prolycopene content. Therefore, the molecular marker developed in the present invention is considered to be useful for the selection of a watermelon having a high prolycopene content.
