The present invention relates to a molecular label for the discrimination of tomatoes having high prolycopene contents and a use thereof. The molecular label for discriminating tomatoes having high prolycopene contents of the present invention can discriminate high prolycopene-containing tomatoes that cannot be distinguished by a conventional marker known to discriminate high prolycopene-containing tomatoes in the CRTISO gene, and thus will be useful to use the tomatoes having high prolycopene contents as a breeding material.
