The present invention relates to a process for preparing high purity unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters utilizing high-acid-content wastes with method of determining drip of urea aqueous solution. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for simply producing an unsaturated fatty acid methyl ester in high yield by applying a urea crystallization method using a urea aqueous solution of high temperature. The present invention can produce unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters in high purity and high yield from fatty acid methyl esters obtained through transesterification of animal and plant resources by method of determining drip of urea aqueous solution (urea crystallization method) using urea aqueous solution at high temperature have. In addition, the present invention can reduce the environmental load, such as reducing the energy cost and the amount of generated wastewater, compared with the prior art.
