The present invention relates to a natural antiseptic composition comprising a polyhydric alcohol extract of Lespedeza cuneata G. Don as an active ingredient. When the natural antiseptic composition is processed into foods or cosmetics, excellent antiseptic properties are exhibited, thereby being usefully used as a safe natural antiseptic composition instead of a conventionally used chemical antiseptics.
