The present invention provides a composition for detecting a target substance comprising template particles into which metal nanoparticles are introduced, and a method for detecting a target substance using the composition. The composition for detecting a target substance containing the template particles into which the metal nanoparticles of the present invention are introduced and the method for detecting the target material using the composition can be usefully used as a high sensitivity immunoassay technique in the field of biomaterial detection.
