The present invention relates to a technique for a system for analyzing reflective waves returning after applying a sine wave frequency increasing stepwise to a cable, estimating a propagation constant, and estimating a reflective coefficient at a defect point. The system comprises: a modeling unit analyzing a reflective signal corresponding to a reference signal incident on the cable and modeling a degree of dispersion and distortion of the cable; a step frequency generation unit designing a step signal in which a frequency gradually increases step by step based on a single frequency; and a signal analysis unit analyzing the reflective signal corresponding to the step signal incident on the cable to analyze a propagation constant and a reflective coefficient of the defect point.
