FIELD: biotechnology.SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for detecting and analysing abnormally methylated genomic regions in biological materials of patients with acute myeloid leukaemia. Method comprises recovering genomic DNA, hydrolysis of recovered DNA by methyl-sensitive restriction endonuclease, methyl-sensitive polymerase chain reaction with separation of each sample into three parts to form three pools, which are amplified with different groups of primers, with subsequent detection of abnormal methylation of DNA fragments using analytical gel electrophoresis, which leads to formation of a system of DNA methylation markers.EFFECT: invention enables to identify all molecular subtypes of acute myeloid leukaemia and provides high sensitivity of the method to detection of abnormal methylation in excess of normal biological material.8 cl, 3 dwg
