FIELD: soil or rock drilling; mining.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry, namely to method of fixation of cutting plates with super-hard layers and hard-alloy substrate for drilling with ring crowns. Method of detachable attachment of cutting plates with one or two super-hard outer layers and hard-alloy substrate, installed in through rectangular slots according to the scheme of well-and core-forming cutters, and with shank of welded steel welded to groove walls, with possibility of providing required release of lateral calibrating and cutting edges, includes wedge clamp of plate-cutters and subsequent cutting on weld seam, narrowing liner on planes of adjoining plate-cutters to walls of groove. Shank is separated from the plate-cutter, prepared for soldering, then it is welded to the bit body and only then a cutting plate is attached to the welded shank by soldering.EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of plates-cutters by preventing their overheating when welding steel shanks.4 cl, 8 dwg
