FIELD: metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to brass alloys and can be used for the manufacture of products in the electrical, engineering and automotive industries. Brass alloy contains Cu, Zn, 0–0.25 wt% Pb and 0.04–0.1 wt% Al2O3, wherein Al2O3 is present in the alloy in the form of ceramic nanoparticles. Brass alloy may additionally contain As, Sn, Fe, Al, Ni, Mn and/or Si additives.
