METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF FACIAL NERVE RECOVERY IN NEUROPATHY IN CHILDREN

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to functional diagnostics. That is ensured by electric neuromyography (ENMG) and neurosonography (NSG) on 10–15th day of the disease. Facial nerve diameter is measured on both sides in mastoid process by high-frequency ultrasonic linear transducer. Following coefficients are calculated as a percentage: ENMG is ratio of patient's M-response amplitudes to healthy one, neuroimaging (NSG) – ratio of healthy nerve diameter to patient. With ENMG coefficient ≤21 % in combination with NSG coefficient ≤75 % predict an unfavorable recovery of facial nerve function.;EFFECT: method provides accurate prediction of facial nerve function recovery, which enables timely correction of the conducted neurometabolic therapy and reduced length of inpatient stay.;1 cl, 4 dwg, 2 tbl, 2 ex
