FIELD: transportation.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing of railway cars. Test complex comprises hill with section of railway track, electric winch, barrel car, backup cars, brake shoes, dynamometric automatic coupler, hoist rope adhesion device with striker car, speed measuring device. Section profile of railway track has variable height. Supporting section (4) of railway track has elevation in center, and its ordinates depend on height and length of support part, angle between slip (1) and lowering (2) sections is not less than 3.15°, and between upper part of hitching (3) section and lower part of lowering (2) section of at least 2.29°. Method of collision tests consists in lifting the striker car to the specified height, returning the overload cars and the tested car after collision into the initial position and re-lifting the car to the specified height for a new collision. After the beginning of lifting of the car-striker on the run-out section automatically under action of own weight due to slope of an upland section of a railway track return to initial position.;EFFECT: inventions reduce time of car tests and expand capabilities during tests.;4 cl, 6 dwg
