A method is proposed for transmitting sensor data from a sensor to a computer system, comprising the steps of a) transmitting an ultrasonic burst and b) receiving an ultrasound signal and forming a time-discrete receive signal consisting of a sequence of samples. Each sample is assigned a time date (time stamp). The method comprises c) the determination of at least two parameter signals in each case concerning the presence of a respective signal basic object assigned to the respective parameter signal with the aid of at least one filter from the sequence of sample values of the received signal.
