The pyrotechnic safety device (2A, 2B) comprises a pyrotechnic separation unit (4) and a bus bar (6A, 6B). The busbar (6A, 6B) has an intended separation point (34). On both sides is followed by a separation region (36), which has a reduced thickness (d1) with respect to the remaining busbar (6A). In a set of different types of securing devices (2A, 2B), these have different busbars (6A, 6B) which differ in terms of their geometric dimensions but have the identically formed separating region (36). By this measure, different types of securing devices (2A, 2B) can be provided with an identical pyrotechnic unit (4), without incurring development or validation costs for the additional type.
