The present invention relates to a motor starting or "booster" device of a power motor vehicle requiring an electrical source for starting or operating, comprising a supercapacitor module SC or a battery or accumulator and a device or system for making said method of starting the motor safe: characterised in that said safety device or system (hereafter referred to as a "device") uses a general ON/OFF contact (run - stop; ON: circuit closed and booster connected to battery, OFF: circuit open and no booster connection to battery) which can be installed on the positive or negative connection of the supercapacitor module or of the battery or accumulator of the booster, this general switch being subordinate to the safety means of the motor starting and to the booster recharging.
