The invention relates to a molecular tag for the identification of a sample to be analyzed, consisting of a composite nucleic acid, distinct from a nucleic acid capable of being contained in said sample, the composite nucleic acid having the formula (I) below: 5 '- [GENOM1] - [ID] - [GENOM2] -3' (I), wherein: [GENOM1] designates a polynucleotide sequence included in a genomic polynucleotide of formula 5 '- [GENOM1] - [GENOM2] -3 '(II), capable of being present in a sample to be analyzed, - [GENOM2] designates a polynucleotide sequence included in said genomic polynucleotide of formula (II), - [ID] denotes a polynucleotide sequence of identification having a length of at least 4 nucleotides.
